Allison found her way to the shores of Lake Kimball in 2017. She grew up in Van Buren, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio Christian University where she got her BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and AA in Early Childhood Development. Throughout college, she participated in Track all four years as a thrower, and was the Track & Field girl representative for a student-lead ministry of Athletes in Action called Sportlinc. In 2016, Allison got 4th in the nation at the NCCAA Nationals in the hammer.
Allison grew up attending Skyview Ranch, a non-denominational camp in Millersburg, Ohio. Allison continued pursuing her love for camping ministry during college from being a camp counselor at Wildwood Ranch to being a Head Female Counselor and a lifeguard at Camp Burt Shurley. She wanted to continue her passion and wanted to learn how to certain things run at camp, so she found her way all the way up to Camp Henry as a Program Specialist and a Weekend Host in 2017.
Allison is ecstatic that life has led her to camping ministry and to grow bonds with people that come to Camp Henry. She believes that camp is the place where you can truly find who you are, and break down the walls that people might have in their life. When Allison is not interacting with groups, you can find her hanging in the trees in her hammock, doing anything active, or brushing up on her bass guitar skills.
