Are you enthusiastic and energetic when it comes
to working with kids? Would you like to develop
your leadership skills and help our younger campers
have a blast and an absolutely amazing Camp Henry
experience? Then the Assistant Counselor (AC)
Program at Camp Henry is just what you’re looking
for! As an Assistant Counselor, you’ll be given the
opportunity to have a hands-on experience in an
incredible community of staff and campers. Our hope
and expectation is that every participant in the AC
program learns more about themselves and others
while impacting the lives of campers. If accepted into
the program, you’ll register for a week of leadership
training and then return later in the summer to
volunteer and be paired with a counselor to help serve
our younger campers.

Come give your time and energy, get your hands dirty,
work hard, and get a glimpse into behind-the-scenes
projects at camp. As a part of the crew, you will know
what it means to have a servant’s heart and experience
what it means to lead by example. Part of your day
will be spent with your cabin enjoying the usual camp
activities, and a few hours each day will be directed
towards serving camp. You may spend time splitting
wood, clearing trails, gardening and landscaping, taking
care of animals, helping camp programs run smoothly,
and so much more! You can also earn community
service hours for your participation in the program.
Prepare yourself to be challenged as well as changed as
you serve those around you.

During Camp Sunshine there will be a special
opportunity for up to 12 Camp Henry campers to
register for Sunshine Crew. The Sunshine Crew
campers will be similar to our Service Crew campers
– in that their time at Camp Henry will be focused
on service. Yet, for these Sunshine Crew campers
they will have the awesome opportunity to serve
and support the Camp Sunshine campers in multiple
areas throughout camp – including food service,
housekeeping, hospitality, program support, set-up and
take down, and loving up on campers. The majority
of the days will be spent involved in service – yet,
we will be certain to find some time for the Sunshine
Crew participants to jump in and enjoy some of Camp
Henry’s activities and programs as well.
Please note that
Sunshine Crew starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday.
