CAMP REGISTRAR

Mary Hathaway

Mary grew up in Grand Rapids but spent the majority of her free time escaping to more remote parts of Michigan to explore. She attended college at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, where she continued to explore parks, trails, and ski hills in the nearby states. Blessed with many opportunities for Christian ministry and mission, she was inspired by the human call to community and became excited to facilitate peaceful and transformative experiences for others in an environment that reflects Christ's call to love and serve.

For years, Mary was a frequent traveler who found peace and comfort in being just a little bit lost all the time. While she'd still agree to travel just about anywhere, she also finds adventure in learning new things and exploring classic literature. She loves animals of all kinds (though the bigger the dog, the more she'll like it.) Mary found camp when she happened to move to Newaygo county and did a quick search for places to volunteer. Slowly but surely, she became more involved with Camp Henry until she took the position of Camp Registrar.
