FACILITIES COORDINATOR

Michael and his wife Megan moved to Michigan so he could join the team at Camp Henry in February of 2024. Michael began working in camp ministry in the summer 2017 as a counselor at his childhood camp in central North Carolina. He served there for 4 summers and then served at another camp in NC for 2 more. He fell in love with camp ministry and has known he wanted to do it full time, and has felt called to do so, since the summer of 2018. He began doing maintenance at that second camp and lived there for a year.

He did maintenance with an apartment Complex in Charlotte NC after returning home from camp in 2022. He did not serve in Camp that following summer after getting married in January 2023. He began to miss it. He and Megen decided to pursue camp ministry in the fall of 2023. After almost moving to Texas, God opened the door for them to move to Michigan and to serve with Camp Henry.

He grew up in Eastern NC and was homeschooled with his 6 siblings. His Dad was a carpenter by trade and his Granddad was a wood worker. He grew up helping with the yard work and upkeep of the family property and loved spending time with his late Granddad in his wood shop. Often helping him with projects. 

Michael loves the outdoors. He enjoys pretty much any outdoor activity, but isn't much of a sports fan. He enjoys camping, axe throwing, riflery and archery the most. He loves visiting Mountains most of all, calling The Blue Ridge Mountain of Western NC his favorite place on earth.
