Camp Henry is a fun, positive, challenging, and exciting place to work, learn, and serve!
Camp Henry is seeking 3 to 4 fun-loving, hard-working, service-oriented folks, preferably with previous camp staff experience, to join our camping ministry and serve as Program Specialists. These positions will begin on April 1st and run through November 12th.
This camp job is great for individuals who are taking a gap year, just graduated college, or want to experience multiple seasons in the camping ministry!
Program Specialists will provide leadership in one of our key program areas, including High Adventure, Horses, Aquatics, Environmental & Outdoor Education, and Team Building.
Our spring and fall seasons are full of serving school groups, sports teams, scout groups, youth groups, and retreat guests. June - August, we transition into our Summer Camp programming. If you are passionate about changing lives while living and serving in a Christian community, Camp Henry is the place for you!

Camp Henry's mission is to provide life changing experiences for all in a Christian environment. Camp Henry is located in Newaygo, Michigan, about 50 minutes north of Grand Rapids and about 50 minutes from Lake Michigan.
We have had the privilege of serving campers, students, families, and guests at Camp Henry since 1937. We believe that a camping experience here has the capacity to transform lives in many ways.
Employment Details
- The ideal period for Program Specialists to serve at Camp Henry is from mid-April through mid-November
- Compensation
- $400 per week
- On-site shared housing
- Meals (when provided for campers and guests)
